Before the season began most interested parties would have said that ir would be between last year’s playoff participants of Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina vting for the two spots in this year’s Championship Game. Somewhat unexpectedly Kennesaw State has thrown its name into the hat, helping to eliminate some big names in the process.
Kentucky will be trying to avoid the same fate that KSU has bestowed upon both Tennessee and South Carolina today as they travel to the Owls for their first ever game against KSU. The Wildcats have opened their season with emphatic wins over Alabama and Georgia. Both teams stand at 2-0 in conference play as they go in to this vital game.
The winner of today’s game will certainly be in pole position in the division and a hot favorite to appear in the SCRC Championship Game to be held in Lexington, KY in November. That game could very well be a rematch of today’s fixture.
Kick off is set for 1pm in Kennesaw, Georgia.
