TENNESSEE STAYS IN CONTENTION

Division One saw just one game take place over the weekend with Tennessee traveling to Alabama for a big conference game. Essentially the loser of the game was out of the running to make the SCRC Final in Lexington, KY while the winner stayed in contention. It was the Volunteers who took the spoils and kept their season alive with a 27-20 win. They did not make it easy, however, almost letting a 20-10 halftime lead slide but they held on for the win. DOUBLE HEADER DAY COMES TO LEXINGTON

Kentucky hosts a double header as both Lindenwood-Belleville and Middle Tennessee State come to town. The Wildcats played both these teams last fall, splitting the games with a home loss to the Lynx and an away win at MTSU. Lindenwood-Belleville bested the Wildcats by a score of 33-5 last season but the game was much closer than the score suggests. ALABAMA HOSTS HUGE GAME

Alabama will host Tennessee in a rare Friday night matchup in SCRC Division One tomorrow evening. The game is big for the clubs as both stand at 1-1 in the conference. Essentially the loser would be on the outside looking in for the SCRC Championship Game in November. Last weekend saw just the one game in Division One with Georgia visiting South Carolina in a clash at the bottom of the table. The Gamecocks ran out winners with a 43-3 scoreline. KENNESAW STATE REGAINS TOP SPOT

Last Saturday saw the top two teams in Division One lock horns and it was Kennesaw State who came out on top with a 24-5 victory over Kentucky. The win saw them leapfrog the Wildcats to take top spot and hold the inside line to the SCRC Championship Game at the end of the season. ALUMNI WEEKEND DATES ANNOUNCED

2020 is the 50th Anniversary for the University of Kentucky Rugby Program. To celebrate that fact the Wildcats are hoping to have the biggest ever turnout for Alumni Weekend, and have released the dates of the celebrations seven months in advance.
